Frequently Asked Questions: IYPC 2023

  • IYPC is a beginner, high-school conference for students interested in philosophy. The conference provides a case competition, in which attendees are provided with an ethical dilemma and are tasked with evaluating the best decisions in that situation. Using moral theories, the competition aims to develop skills in philosophical inquiry and the application of multiple perspectives. The conference provides workshops to guide competitors through the case, seminars from professors and scholars, and talks from current university students on their experiences in philosophy.

  • Although there are several benefits of IYPC, we have compiled a brief list of the main benefits we prioritize:

  • IYPC is entirely free. Our core mission is to make philosophy accessible—financially, geographically, and academically. Due to this, we have tried our absolute best to ensure that IYPC is free to attend for all.
