The International Young Philosophers Conference
About the Conference
The International Young Philosopher’s Conference (IYPC) is Status Quo’s annual flagship conference for youth in philosophy. The event convenes hundreds of students across the world with the purpose of learning, connecting, and inspiring. Attendees are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in thought-provoking workshops, meet like-minded peers, and learn from incredible keynote speakers. Following the conference is a case competition; in this event, participants are given an ethical dilemma and are tasked with delivering a 20-minute presentation to defend their stance on the dilemma. IYPC is a beginner-friendly event with hundreds of dollars in cash prizes available to winners at the case competition.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
One of the most important priorities of the Status Quo Project is having accessible opportunities for all youth, regardless of socioeconomic status. We strongly believe that cost should not be a prohibitive factor in accessing education and opportunity. As a result, IYPC is 100% free of charge.

Testimonials
IYPC is definitely one of the most memorable highlights I have in high school. I’ve met so many cool people, learnt so much about philosophy, and overall, thoroughly enjoyed myself at this conference. The seminar topics on religion, platonic relationships, and phenomenology were so intriguing and provided me with a novel perspective on how I view my life. I would highly recommend anyone else interested in IYPC to attend!
Isabella Ng, 2023 Attendee
My experience at IYPC was exceptional. The people I had the privilege of meeting during my time there left a remarkable impression on me; what truly set them apart was how approachable and welcoming they were. Even after the conference, I find myself discussing Kantian ethics with them. The workshops and seminars have also left me with a newfound appreciation for the richness of philosophical inquiry—I am more motivated than ever to continue learning.
